Dover-Foxcroft

Dover-Foxcroft is only a 10 minute ride away. This quaint New England town is the capital of Piscataquis County, and has a golf course, churches, restaurants, grocery stores, a library, a small movie and entertainment theater offering the likes of Maine’s own classic comedian Bob Marley, a laundry mat, full service hospital and shopping attractions. Don’t forget the ice cream shops.

During the month of June, Dover-Foxcroft is home to Maine’s annual Whoopie Pie festival.

A convenience store, Tim Merrill’s, is also within walking distance from the camp. They have the best sub-sandwiches, daily food supplies (milk, water, ice cream, bread) and any marine supplies you may need. The store also has boat rentals at a very reasonable rate. The store is opened 7 days a week.
